What is Bike Polo?
Hardcourt bike polo is a fast-paced, mixed-gender team sport played on a hard-surface court, usually with three players per side. Riders use mallets to pass and shoot a small ball, aiming to score goals while maneuvering on bikes with precision and control.
The sport evolved from traditional grass bike polo, which dates back to the 1890s, but the hardcourt version was developed in the early 2000s by bike messengers in Seattle. Since then, it has grown into a global community with organized tournaments, custom gear, and a strong DIY ethos.

Important
Information
Although we ensure that everyone is playing in a kind manner; bike polo is fast and physical, so there is a risk of injury. We strongly recommend wearing a helmet and protective gear.

New to the sport? Don’t worry—our more experienced players will guide you step-by-step. And if you don’t have your own bike, mallet, or helmet, we have some spares available.
Get Involved!
Feel free to come along to a few taster sessions—no commitment needed! After that, we ask that you pay a small membership fee to support the club. If the fee is a barrier, just let us know—we want bike polo to be accessible to everyone.

Starting in October, sessions will be held at the outdoor basketball court on campus:
-
Fridays, 7-9 PM
-
Sundays, 10 AM–12 PM
